[Bug 410466] Re: [karmic] Unable to logout/reboot/shutdown from within KDE
Confirming this on Kubuntu Jaunty with KDE 4.3 installed from PPA. The first attempt to logout gets the confirm dialog; subsequent attempts do not get the confirm dialog. There appears to be no way to troubleshoot this bug. Shutting down from the command line works normally. Attempting a shutdown with OpenOffice open with an unsaved file prompted me to save the file, whereupon it saved the file and closed OpenOffice, but the machine did not shutdown, nor did Firefox (which was also open) close. -- [karmic] Unable to logout/reboot/shutdown from within KDE https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/410466 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdebase-workspace in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 34381] Re: Dapper - Korn - Unable to delete email after right-click->view email
To clarify, the right-clicking is on the Korn icon on the taskbar, not on an actual message. I select the message by highlighting it, then click on the Delete button at the bottom of the Korn window. -- Dapper - Korn - Unable to delete email after right-click->view email https://launchpad.net/bugs/34381 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 37246] Re: Unable to browse web with Konqueror
Well, reinstalling kdelibs-data didn't fix the problem. However, renaming the .kde directory did fix the problem. I'm convinced this was user error, go ahead and close the bug, thanks for all your help, Francois-Denis! -- Unable to browse web with Konqueror https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/37246 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 37246] Re: Unable to browse web with Konqueror
Interesting, I've known about some funny mime-type settings on my machine, Adobe Acrobat wants to own anything with a mime-type of application/octet-stream. I don't know if this is related. Might there be a setting to restore all mime-type settings to Kubuntu default? -- Unable to browse web with Konqueror https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/37246 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 37246] Re: Unable to browse web with Konqueror
I've created a short Flash video of the problem (using vnc2swf). First I successfully load google.com from the location drop down. Then I left click first on Groups, get the error, then left-click on News, get the error, then middle-click on News for a successful load into a new tab. The video is at: http://rhobard.com/video.html This should make it easier to understand the problem (if the Flash video works!) -- Unable to browse web with Konqueror https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/37246 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 37246] Re: Unable to browse web with Konqueror
This is hard to pin down. I have opened my bookmarks file (from Firefox) in Konqueror. When I left click on any link, I get the above error (I tried all 50). However, if I middle click on them to open in a new tab, the pages generally loaded fine, except for ebay.com, which still gave me the error. After the initial successful page load, I still get the error on any subsequent click on that page. I don't expect anyone else to be able to duplicate the problem exactly. It seems to be related to mime types (?) or mouse click interaction. In short, left clicking any link gives the error, middle clicking (or right click -> open in new tab) works for almost all sites, but not ebay.com. Is there any way to determine exactly what Konqueror is trying to do at that time? -- Unable to browse web with Konqueror https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/37246 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 37261] Korn privacy violation
Public bug reported: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/37261 Affects: kdepim (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: With Korn set up to display email from two different accounts in the system tray (my wife's and my own) using right click to view first my email and then my wife's will produce the following privacy violation: I right click Korn and select View, which loads up and views the subjects of my emails, I then exit the preview then my wife does the same on her icon, she will see my subjects, etc while Korn shows a dialog box "Progress - rechecking box". This is a clear privacy violation, my wife's preview should never, even for a brief second, show my subjects. And since it can take many seconds for Korn to fetch the new set of headers, my data remains viewable for quite a while. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
