[Bug 872761] [NEW] KDM greeter remote login dialog crashes on mouseover

2011-10-12 Thread memartin
Public bug reported:

I am using oneiric beta on my laptop. I also have a few other kubuntu
boxes and a terminal server that I connect to via XDMCP every once in a
while, mostly because the other machines have more calculating power
that I use to lay off CPU-intensive tasks.

Today I've tried to start a new session on oneiric's KDE, remote-
connecting to another XDMCP-Host. This used to work fine under Lucid
some weeks ago.

However, today I had to experience thatwhenever I move the mouse onto
the greeter's remote login dialog to select the server to connect to,
the dialog disappears and the normal greeter (I don't use a theme) with
the local login pops up again.

Please let me know if/how I can provide further information.

[Bug 868970] [NEW] User should be able to disable Akonaditray when akonadi/nepomuk is not used

2011-10-06 Thread memartin
Public bug reported:

I am - like many others - not using akonadi/nepomuk/strigi on purpose.
With a recent update, akonaditray started showing up in my system tray,
saying I have the services disabled. Now, since I am aware of that fact
and additionally like my systray clean, I would like to disable
akonaditray. Unfortunally, it's there again after reboot when close it,
and it even recreates its entry in /usr/share/autostart when I remove
it.

So there should be an option to disable autostart of akonaditray
completely. I love Linux because it respects my freedom of choice.
Akonadi[tray] does not seem to have that respect.
