[Bug 127352] Re: Amarok mixes album names while renaming
Well, for some time now Amarok 1.4.7 is in the backports for Kubuntu Feisty. I just added another album to my collection and encountered the exact same bug again. This is, however, still Feisty. Would it be possible that Amarok 1.4.7 in Kubuntu Gutsy Tribe5 is not suffering from the same problem? -- Amarok mixes album names while renaming https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/127352 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for amarok in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 127352] Re: Amarok mixes album names while renaming
Well, not exactly, most of the times the problem is also related with renaming albums from several artist. If, for example, I rename a certain album to something else, that goes fine. Then i move on to the next artist and rename that album as well, the second album has the name of the fist one. It's pretty tricky to explain but I think Amarok somehow caches the fields used by renaming, but doesn't clean them afterwards. If it is still unclear, I can make another video capture, showing the problem in more detail. -- Amarok mixes album names while renaming https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/127352 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for amarok in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 127352] Re: Amarok mixes album names while renaming
I can't reproduce this. If I have an artist with a single file, when I rename the album tag, the entry is cleared from the context browser (and picked up on the next incremental scan). If I have an artist with multiple files, when I change an album name (either in the tag dialog or the in-line tag editing in the playlist), the context browser and playlist are both updated when I click the Save Close button. I'm running current SVN. Maybe this has already been fixed for 1.4.7. Or maybe the bug author's packages are broken somehow. -- Amarok mixes album names while renaming https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/127352 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for amarok in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 127352] Re: Amarok mixes album names while renaming
Indeed it could be fixed in 1.4.7, but in my version it is definately present. I've done a lot of renaming this weekend and I came across this bug literally tens of times. I will try to make some kind of video, showing the renaming process and the problem I'm experiencing. Also, after further experimenting, it also happens with the genre and maybe even more tags. -- Amarok mixes album names while renaming https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/127352 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for amarok in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
