Public bug reported:

Affects: kdepim kpilot (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
Problem:
The first sync of with KPilot resulted in broken umlauts and accents in the
KPilot databases.

Workaround:
Had to delete all databases, set the encoding in KPilot to "iso 8850-1" (which
is not even a selectable option), and then sync again. That fixed it.

Proposed Solution:
KPilot should either have a default setting that works (in most cases) or ask
during installation.

This is Kubuntu Dapper Flight 5, KDE 3.5.1, KPilot 4.6.0, pilot-link 0.11.8;
Palm Tungsten E, Palm OS 5.2.1
