Repackaging upstream into the release is what we do here at devel, so keep running your apt-get updates Happy testing, and happy christmas Rick -- Sent from my Android device with K-9 Mail. It is not always easy from a users perspective to know where the separation is. So I guess in the case of Plasma5 maybe these bugs belong at bugs.kde.org ? I have been reporting my bugs on bugs.kde.org, since they look like underlying problems, not package issues. Given the nature of some of them, I hope that at some point the upstream is repackaged so I can re-test. - Mitch Golden -- kubuntu-devel mailing list kubuntu-devel@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-devel

Anyway I discovered the mystical way to report bugs!! If your using KDE press Alt+F2 A drop down prompt appears top center of the screen type: ubuntu-bug e.g ubuntu-dug plasma-desktop Press enter, and that command will do the rest Also in a terminal man ubuntu-bug or man arrport-bug Have play with it, see what you think I hope this helps Rick -- kubuntu-devel mailing list kubuntu-devel@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-devel
Plasma 5 bugs, again
I just posted a rather serious bug in plasma 5 - copy/paste forgets the buffer when the original application is closed. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=341850 Is there a plan to re-package the plasma 5 stuff before the alphas/betas of 15.04 are put together? Some of the bugs I see would not really be suitable for a general-use release. How is it to be decided if releasing a plasma 4 alternative will be necessary for 15.04? - Mitch Golden -- kubuntu-devel mailing list kubuntu-devel@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-devel
