Press enter, and that command will do the rest

 Also in a terminal

 man ubuntu-bug
 or
 man arrport-bug

Hi Mitch

OK, then this is all good, we are certainly on the same page.

Repackaging upstream into the release is what we do here at devel, so keep
running your apt-get updates

Happy testing, and happy christmas

Please do not use this to report bugs against KDE software itself
since it's a upstream KDE issue, and should instead be reported via
bugs.kde.org.

The ubuntu-bug method should only be used to report any packaging
issues.

Ah OK, well that makes things a bit more tricky.

It is not always easy from a users perspective to know where the separation is.

So I guess in the case of Plasma5 maybe these bugs belong at bugs.kde.org ?

I have been reporting my bugs on bugs.kde.org, since they look like
underlying problems, not package issues.

Given the nature of some of them, I hope that at some point the upstream
is repackaged so I can re-test.

Hey Mitch

I've been mucking about with bugs for most of the day today.

Anyway I discovered the mystical way to report bugs!!

If your using KDE press Alt+F2
A drop down prompt appears top center of the screen

type: ubuntu-bug

e.g ubuntu-dug plasma-desktop

Press enter, and that command will do the rest

Also in a terminal

man ubuntu-bug
or
man arrport-bug

Have play with it, see what you think

I hope this helps

Plasma 5 bugs, again

2014-12-13 Thread Mitch Golden
I just posted a rather serious bug in plasma 5 - copy/paste forgets the
buffer when the original application is closed.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=341850

Is there a plan to re-package the plasma 5 stuff before the alphas/betas
of 15.04 are put together? Some of the bugs I see would not really be
suitable for a general-use release. How is it to be decided if releasing
a plasma 4 alternative will be necessary for 15.04?
