 Hi,

Glad to see this project opens for translation and localed mailing lists.

I have been watching since your ANN but no one else has submitted

H... I am sort of concerned on self registration. Does it means

we have?.
No - this only means, that users can create their own accounts. Default
rights then can be set on a global / project / language level.
That means, we can have global view rights, German can have make
suggestion and Protugese / Brazil can have view only for registered
users as well. Suggest / submit trasnaltion rights can then be granted
per user (by the manager of the respective language).

That can be hard to fix/clean later... Isn't better to have this under
more strict control?

I'd suggest to start with view / donwload archiver rights on a global
level and let each language team handle their projects as they like.

André

[libreoffice-l10n] Slovenian langpack

2010-10-31 Thread Martin Srebotnjak
Hello,

I wonder why there is no Slovenian langpack for LO33b2 available.

Slovenian is a 100% localized language (gui+help) of OOo since version 2.0
and build-lo-sl.po is also localized.

Please do make a Slovenian langpack.

Lp, m.

Mailing lists for Japanese are still missing. I earnestly ask for at
least two mail lists for community members who speak Japanese; one for

Cute idea, anyway a list for the latter purpose like other l10n
projects already have is essential for the time being.

Several people from Japan have already started to contribute to
TDF and LibreOffice regarding localization and translation. We're
currently communicating with each other privately. We want to have
mailist lists to share our ideas, to intensitvely discuss general
things with all who are interested in, to smoothly combine our
indivisual contribusions together and to widely invite those who want
 to work with us.

As for moderators, I would commmit myself for moderation if needed.
I recommend Takashi for new Japanese language moderator, who should
have great experience through activity for the OOo community and skill
to collaborate with current and potential contributers widely-spread
in Japan. He has both.

Cheers,
