[libreoffice-l10n] Pootle hangs/being unstable

2011-03-02 Thread Nguyen Vu Hung
Hello all,

Recently, our pootle[1] is reported that unstable and hang.

In attempt to fix/solve this problem, I'd need your help:

1. Find an operation (flow) that makes pootle hang.
If we can find a way to make pootle hang, we are quite close
   to a FIX.

2. The time that you observe that pootle stops responding (hang)

Sure, just give me an account to the server.
Root password is not needed but I need sudo permission to re/start the

I think that at least the search function of pootle leaks (kind of) memory.

By "memory leak", I mean

* The real one
* Some kind of memory management like smart pointer.

So, we have to reboot the *web server* (or even the server) to free up memory.

I am sorry that I don't have time to dig into the problem deeper than what

Great work!

However, frankly, I don't think a server needs dist-upgrade,

It is not a kernel upgrade nor dist-upgrade right?
# otherwise, we won't have to suffer downtime.

Thank you for your explanation.
It is fine for our Vietnamese team, you don't have to do anything.

+1 for .po and svn (or git, whatever version management tool is fine to me)

subversion is a bit easier to use than git but I think most translator
will leave the
review/commit cycles to the translation leads :)

svn/git is a must, I need them as a tool for tracking the changes.

pootle admin please take a look at this issue.

Fortunately, I got a backup so it was as simple as an upload with
merge or overwrite option.

[libreoffice-l10n] LibO translation: Help + UI

2010-12-27 Thread Nguyen Vu Hung
Hello all,

I want to confirm where to find and translate po files.

1. Help:
OpenOffice.org (up to 3.2 and 3.3): I translate it with pootle.sunvirtuallab.com
LibO: wiki (which is a nice idea!)

2. UI:
OpenOffice.org (up to 3.2 and 3.3): I translate it with pootle.sunvirtuallab.com
LibO: where are the po files and how to translate them?
# I couldn't find them on http://pootle.documentfoundation.org/vi/

Yes, but I don't have time yet to translate.
Is there anything else that I have to do? Is that all the translation
we make on pootle
will be integrated into git?
