Hi,

Alu is working on LibreOffice as one of the internship themes at
iCraft Corp in Japan. I support him as a LibreOffice Japanese
community member.
He is from Niger. And his mother language is Hausa.
He is interested in translating to Hausa.

I couldn't find the Hausa language project.
Does anyone know a contributor to the Hausa language?

Hi Christian,

Thank you for your help.

I tried this topic at today's Japanese online hackfest.

I tried to make a suggestion without logging in, but it seems that I
could still make a suggestion.

Is the setting not working?
Or is this behavior correct?

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Change the Japanese website download page translation

2021-02-17 Thread Shinji Enoki
Hi,

We (Japanese community) want to translate the download page of the
Japanese website.
https://ja.libreoffice.org/download/download/

At Weblate, I think the translation of the Web into Japanese has been completed.
https://translations.documentfoundation.org/projects/website/newdesign/ja/

However, when I check the website, there are some untranslated
strings, such as the version description.

Is the description of each version managed by weblate? Or is it
managed in a different way?
I think this page doesn't seem to be managed by Silvertripe.

Could you fix this issue?
Or what should we do?

Best regards,
Shinji

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Weblate permission to add comments

2021-07-14 Thread Shinji Enoki
Hi Sophi and all,

> You mean they can't comment because they give suggestions as anonymous users?

I think it would be nice if logged-in users could comment. I think
Nogata-san has the same opinion.
Then we rarely face the problem of spam comments compared to giving to
anonymous users.

Currently, logged-in normal users cannot comment.
For example, I can't comment. :
https://translations.documentfoundation.org/user/enoki/
In the Japanese community, Nogata-san and Meguro-san can comment, so I
think the "Reviewers" only can comment.

I tried Weblate in my local environment with Docker. I don't know what
the TDF Weblate group settings are.
I was able to add comment permissions by creating a new role and
adding "Post Comment" and "Add suggestion" to it.

Shinji

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Localized Extensions Site

Hi Kevin and Christian, all,

In the Japanese UI, the same problem occurs when I press the
"Extensions" button in the "Start Center".
https://extensions.libreoffice.org/ja

In "Extension Manager", "Get more extensions online .." link was
https://extensions.libreoffice.org/.

Does this site support multilingual translation?
If it doesn't, I thought it might be better to fix the link in the
"Start Center".

Pages in some languages exist, but they don't seem to be translated.

Hello Donald,

Does that mean you want to subscribe to webs...@global.libreoffice.org?
If that's correct, I think you can subscribe by sending an email to
website+subscr...@global.libreoffice.org

https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/

If you want to manage your language website, you may need to request
permission for it.

If you have permissions but can't log in to your previous single
sign-on account, It may be a good idea to email to
hostmas...@documentfoundation.org.

Best regards,
Shinji

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] translating pages of others and not of one's own language is an incorrect practice

2022-07-28 Thread Shinji Enoki
Hello Manuel and Adolfo, all,

It seemed to me that Adolfo split the translation chunks on the
English page. After that, he moved the translated Italian text to
cover the effect.
So I think he just made the necessary position adjustments rather than
translation.

But that may be difficult to understand just by looking at the Italian
history page.

Shinji
