Yes, it's about this. Types of classification you can think of, that may be used are secret, confidental, internal only, etc. Regards, Cor -- Cor Nouws GPD key ID: 0xB13480A6 - 591A 30A7 36A0 CE3C 3D28 A038 E49D 7365 B134 80A6 - vrijwilliger http://nl.libreoffice.org - volunteer http://www.libreoffice.org - The Document Foundation Membership Committee Member -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: l10n+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/l10n/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
Re: [libreoffice-l10n] "Apply Document Classification"
Thanks, Cor. But is this classification just a process of classifying, putting documents or their parts in some category, or is it at the same time connected to "classified" documents, parts of documents (where in English "classified" is also connected with confidentiality/secrecy). I am looking for a term in my languages, so I need to know if it has both meanings in this use. Re: [libreoffice-l10n] "Apply Document Classification"
Hi Cor Thank you for your valuable input. I can see the Classification toolbar, with the default classification categories in master. This feature is recurrently demanded in many organizations where confidentiality rankings of business documents is required. I also see that the classification levels and nomenclature can be customized by the sysadmin in the file example.xml in the paths options. Nice. Alternatives: "Apply Document Classification" vs "Classify Document Security" "Document Security Information" "Document Security Level" Kind regards Olivier Em 08/04/2016 04:09, Cor Nouws escreveu: > Hi Olivier, > > Olivier Hallot wrote on 07-04-16 23:26: > >> What is the meaning of "Apply Document Classification" and where I can >> see it? >> >> GenericCommands.xcu >> ..GenericCommands.UserInterface.Popups..uno:ClassificationApply Label >> value.text > > There is work ongoing to implement the possibility to apply and use > secure and trusted classification in LibreOffice. > Recently Miklos wrote some blog about this: > http://vmiklos.hu/blog/libreoffice-signature-descriptions.html > http://vmiklos.hu/blog/libreoffice-sha256-signatures.html > http://vmiklos.hu/blog/ooxml-signature-import.html > > As you can read, the work is sponsored by the Dutch Ministry of Defense. > If you use a recent master, in Writer, Calc and Impress there is the > toolbar Classification. > In the Paths options there is classification too. > There will be more documentation about this. > > Regards, > Cor > > -- Olivier Hallot Comunidade LibreOffice http://ask.libreoffice.org/pt-br -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: l10n+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/l10n/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted

Hi Martin, Martin Srebotnjak wrote on 08-04-16 09:15: > In these blog posts I cannot see word "classification" or "*lass*", so what > does this term apply to? The term applies to a document, or a part of the content of a document. Implemented is the marking of the classification in the file structure and in the visual document. > What is being classified? A document or a signature? The document. Adding signatures is to make it trusted. > Is this classification already present in some other office suite, so I can > check for existing translation there? Or is this a LO-only feature? From what I understood there is one (or more?) add-ons for Microsoft Word, but from the top of my head I could not give details. I will work on more info next week. Re: [libreoffice-l10n] "Apply Document Classification"
In these blog posts I cannot see word "classification" or "*lass*", so what does this term apply to? What is being classified? A document or a signature? Is this classification already present in some other office suite, so I can check for existing translation there? Or is this a LO-only feature?
