Thanks, that did the trick! What happened is I did a search for a term 
and was directed to the branch “8d9e96dcf8” in which the file in 
question was not editable. However, after switching the branch to “main” 
I can indeed edit and commit it.

But you can always open a Pull Request and I (or any other) can merge it.
