[lace] Lace Guild Patch

2008-11-19 Thread Jean Nathan

There's a Lace Guild Patch on ebay:

Item number: 270305050630

Haven't one of these before. Anyone know if it's an official UK Lace Guild
item, an official item from another country's Lace Guild, or not connected
with any organisation?

[lace] Bedfordshire Clanger - Recipes, Food Drink - The Independent

Dear Spiders , Here is one recipe for the Clanger from The Independent
newspaper. Would have sat very heavy in the tummy, but full of energy.

Re: [lace] Website update

2008-11-19 Thread Sue
I just took a look at your site which is great, also took time to play the
video of you working the leaves. I also have had to learn to do them on the
pillow but this was such a simple way and you have a few tiny little things
that made them work so well, look so easy and take out the stress factor of
working them so thank you for putting them on.
Sue T Dorset UK, again sunshine here too but due for some low temps by the
weekend

Just the sort of weather to stay in and make lace, grin

I've been slowly working my way down a long 'to-do' list and at the
weekend I finally got to the item 'update website'. I have added
several items, changed some things and moved some items from Articles
to a new section for Techniques where which also includes a video of
how I make tallies. The only section with no changes is Books and DVDs
(but there will be something new there next year). No patterns this
time but there may be something when I update the Lace Guild website
at the end of the month.

Jean in Glasgow where the sun shone today but rain is promised for
tomorrow.

Re: [lace] Lace Guild Patch

2008-11-19 Thread Carol

Hello Jean et al,

I think it is genuine - many years ago, when I used to take the Lace Guild
Shop to various events - a job I loved, as I got to talk to so many
lacemakers! - I bought a patch just the same (or very similar - it was so
long ago, I'm not sure it was exactly the same) and sewed it to a heavy
denim bag I used for many years. Can't think where it is now, or what
happened to it along with my marbles somewhere, I suspect!
