Re: [lace] 's Gravenmoer and a bolster pillow
Thanks to all who answered my question about the bolster pillow for ’s Gravenmoer. I have let my friend know how supportive you all were. Now we will see what her decision is for convention. Diane - your picture is pretty awesome. Makes want to do a project that is a little larger than the bookmarks and Christmas ornaments that I have been working on. Maybe one day soon. Thanks again. Re: [lace] 's Gravenmoer and a bolster pillow
I'm currently working a 's Gravenmore scarf using a bolster pillow. The pattern is and adaptation of Susan Wensel's scarf from a workshop she gave in Sydney in 2013. I have over 70 pairs and since I'm using a thick silk thread it is about 8 inches wide. May I say it is working well and for a scarf I would not use anything other than a bolster or wide roller pillow. So to your friend all I have to say is go for it!! If you love a bolster then the 's Gravenmore will not be a challenge except if you are learning it new. She doesn’t want to request the class if it isn’t possible. Thanks for any help. And - see you in Coralville, IA. Jane,I did. It wasn't a scarf, but it was a piece of lace about 6 or 7" wide for a bonnet. Below is a link to my pillow in action. https://dianelaces.files.wordpress.com/2007/08/hul-0.jpg |  | |  | |  |  |  |  |  | | | | | | View on dianelaces.files.wor... | Preview by Yahoo | | | |  |  Diane Williams drswilli...@yahoo.com Galena Illinois USA My blog - http://dianelaces.wordpress.com/ From: Valhalla Bee Farm Good afternoon all - Is it possible to âs Gravenmoer technique making a scarf using a bolster pillow? - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here. Re: [lace] 's Gravenmoer and a bolster pillow
I made a 's Gravenmoer scarf using a block pillow, but I am sure that a bolster would work just as well, if not better! Most teachers will advise if there is a strict requirement for a class!
