RE: [lace] Book title
Alex Congratulations on your newest book. Do you have any idea when it will be printed? I do have a suggestion, believing that your most recent is on Mechlin. There is a lack of adequate books on pottenkant and the laces of the late 16th century. There have been a few books on revival era Paris lace, but I suspect that the techniques of Paris ground laces, when they first appeared, may be somewhat different. Basically, Antwerp laces dating from c. 1650 - 1750. Good morning Arachnids I have just completed my latest book. Until now I have always had another that I wanted to write. Now I have written the ones I considered needed writing and feel lost without a topic to research and write about. Does anyone have any ideas of where to direct my interest? I am mainly interested in the technicalities of how a lace was made not in researching history as such, only when it crops up during my research into techniques. Nor am I interested in adding another book when there is already a perfectly adequate book available. So far a title has not grabbed me. Looking forward to your response Alex - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here. For help, write to arachne.modera...@gmail.com. Dear Spiders, My memory is gone the way of the wind. Can someone please tell me the name of the book that the "sisters and Poole" are in my mind? I think the book was mentioned when we had the discussion about Ms. Channer's mat. Thanks in advance for all your wonderful memories.
