[lace] Fouriscot
I should have added that the school in Brioude is noted for its Cluny, but the chief lacemaker/designer there is Odette Arpin. Re: [lace] Fouriscot
SorryI just assumed she was also associated with the Brioude school since the school in shown in photos in Fouriscot Cluny books. Margot and I were also in Nathalie Bailly's Cluny class at IOLI Montreal, and Nathalie is with the Brioude school along with Odette and others. I believe each of the books which carry Mick Fouriscot's name also carry a second name and that person is the primary designer I think (?) (There are also Torchon, Duchesse, etc. books in the same group of beautifully done publications.) [lace] Fouriscot/Arpin Cluny de Brioude book
Hi, everyone I've finished translating the text from the Collar and Cuffs pattern (Les Asters) from the Fouriscot/Arpin Cluny de Brioude book at last. If anyone else has the book and would like a copy of the translated text, email me off list and I'll send it to you. (note: the text, being mostly keys to the diagrams, is useless without the book) Beth in a cold but sunny Cheshire, NW England - it actually feels like Autumn at last, the leaves are glorious but falling fast. - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
