Re: [lace] German Lace Museums
Hello Dawn, lace is in German’s museums mostly not on display. The Museum für Kunst und Gwerbe In Hamburg for example give you the possibility to see them when you make an appointment weeks before you arrive. In Abenberg in the south is a museum mostly for lace google it to see when it’s open. In Celle you find a lovely museum for embroidery. And in Erzgebirge in the museums are laces beside the other things to see. Because things changed the last years I can’t send you the plan I made for the IOLI years ago it will not longer be right. [lace] German Lace Museums
Hello all I am planning a trip to Europe next year with a friend. We are attending the Tonder Festival in Denmark and the OIDFA Congress in Slovenia. We have about 10 days to fill in travelling by train from Hamburg on June 10th to Ljubliana on June 20th. Can anyone suggest some must see lace museums or events in Germany, Czech Republic, Poland or Austria ? We know about the Idrija festival and that is on our possible list.
