Re: [lace] Identification of 'bobbin'
I wouldn't say it's too long, bobbins in different length exist. But there isn't clear which is the head of the bobbin, both ends look equal. And where is space for thread? It's a lovely stilted piece of wood, I guess, but not a bobbin. Ilske - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here. RE: [lace] Identification of 'bobbin'
It may be just a practice piece for a turner. At 5" it would equate to 5 Feet in doll house scale ( rather tall staircase rail). Lorri > > Dear All > > I have received an email from Leigh C. Re: [lace] Identification of 'bobbin'
I'm in complete agreement with you, Brenda. The size would have been right for the head or foot board of a doll house bed, 1/12 scale. Re: [lace] Identification of 'bobbin'
Hello Brenda and everyone I agree, it is too long for a bobbin. I think it had a decorative use. [lace] Identification of 'bobbin'
Dear All I have received an email from Leigh C.
