Fwd: [lace] Pam Mattioli's Butterfly Bookmark
Hello Pene, The gimp âis â drawn in the âcâ âolour diagram in Vuelta y Cruz 2 â, page 10â . âThe diagram is by Pam Mattioli, same as the pattern. â You will need 2 pairs and 2 single bobbins for the gimp âsâ : the 2 single bobbins âwork the antennae, and the 2 pairs (one bobbin running in each direction) âsurround the 2 wings. Sometimes you have to work two gimps together, as the threads meet, and afterwards separate. â I hope âthis explanation helps... âI also love this pattern, Bev! â Antje González, Spain www.vueltaycruz.es - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here. Re: [lace] Pam Mattioli's Butterfly Bookmark
Hi Pene and everyone I have this volume. There are 2 pairs plus 2 bobbins for the gimp (headline, page 8). In the photo page 10, starting topmost, there is one pair for each wing, one bobbin for each antenna. The antenna bobbins overlap at the bottom to end off. Each bobbin of a wing pair cross after the first part of the wing, and overlap at the bottom to end off. Now I want to make this bookmark! [lace] Pam Mattioli's Butterfly Bookmark
Apologies for resending this message, but I misspelled Pam's surname. Hi fellow Arachneans, A friend wants to make this bookmark published in "Vuelta y Cruz/Twist and Cross" No. 2 (pages 8-10). Has anyone made this bookmark? Can anyone tell me where the path of the gimp goes around the motif? I seem to remember seeing this pattern published in another place, but can't remember where. Can anyone help me?
