Hello Sylvie, I haven’t been to Queyras but the lace in Val Varaita just across the border in Italy is very similar. I went to Val Varaita a few years back and have something about it on my website at http://www.jeanleader.net/articles/index.html They’re both freehand laces worked with very few pins - I have a couple of samples from Val Varaita and instructions for a few patterns.
