Thanks to those who replied about my query re the new replica christening gown being used by the British royal family. As I suspected, there seems to be no evidence of handmade lace on it. I did think that we would have heard about it before now if any lacemaker had been commissioned to produce work for it. I do think it is a great shame though and sadly indicative of the current situation. I won't be pursuing any further enquiries but don't let that stop you all :-)
