[lace] Royal Canberra Show Winners
I thought you might all like to hear how some of our spiders went with their lace at the Show. Noelene has a 1st place and Champion for her tatted bonnet and her Torchon mat received a third place. I loved the bonnet it was magnificent! The torchon mat was larger than I expected and it was lovely too. Liz Ligeti has a Highly Commended for her needlelace mat, which I thought should have won first prize and a 2nd place for her 3 medallions that I really enjoyed looking at. They grabbed your attention straight away. She also received a 1st, and 2 champion ribbons AND the Canberra Lacemakers Trophy for her square needlelace mat. Jenny Rees also received a ribbon and I'm sorry Jenny I forgot to write down which one but it was a lovely fine mat. What a way to go girls! Congratulations to all of you.
