Hello All! My "beans" insertion is off the pillow & I've posted some pics on
webshots. While I'm no expert, I finished enough to have a small strip for a
CQ project & I think I know what I'm doing for the next time if there is one!
The linen embroidery thread is quite robust so it should hold up to use/abuse &
laundry. Stupid question for the day--since tension was improved by using TCTC
rather than CTCT, is that a hint that could/should be applied to other types of
lace where tension is an issue, i.e. Milanese?? The strip was worked with a
dozen pins, including those that held the gingham on the roller. No wonder
this lace was developed when pins were expensive! I also posted a pic of my
lace pin from Brioude & a pair of bobbins from Belgium. If anyone has info on
the bobbins, please let me know as I've not seen any others like them. I've
received 2 postcards from Janet Theaker--one of the newlyweds & another of
York. Many thanks. My cards are idling on my desk b!
ut haven't made it to the post box yet! Deadlines, deadlines. Sincerely,
Susan Hottle, Erie, PA USA
