[lace] Spring Bookmark Exchange

2015-05-07 Thread Lin Hudren
Wow, what a wonderful response so far and many days yet to join the fun. I
have both feet in the water now and thank those who have been responsive so
far for your faith in me doing the job. i hope many more of you will join
in the fun. There is nothing like the sense of accomplishment for making a
project happen. Bookmarks are necessities in life and bring smiles to all
who use them and share the pleasure of a gift from afar with those near.

If you are curious, you can go to:
http://brandis.com.au/arachne/2012bookmarks/index.html or
http://brandis.com.au/arachne/2013bookmarks/index.html to view previous
years' exchanges. There are many more browsing opportunities for ideas
and/or just to drool. Jenny graciously devotes her time and energy to
allowing all of us to see what, as a group, we accomplish. If you have not
signed up yet, come join in the fun. The carousal has lots of room and is
just starting to turn but the music is on. Let me know if you want the
lion, giraffe, unicorn or a colorful horse as well as many other creatures
available. There are lovely sleigh bench seats awaiting too.

The schedule will go like this:

May 4-12 Sign Ups

May 15 Exchange partner assignments made and emailed out

June 13All bookmarks should be in the mail

Same rules apply as the Christmas card exchange: send in name, snail mail
address, how many bookmarks you want to make and any geographical
preferences to me at *linhud...@gmail.com *. After
making your bookmark(s) please take a picture and email directly to Jenny
Brandis (je...@brandis.com.au) who once again is a Dear heart and will be
posting all on her web site or to me (linhud...@gmail.com). If you wonder
if your partner was able to send in a photo of their bookmark to you, just
send one upon receipt and Jenny will make sure everyone is represented.

If you have any questions or preferences, please feel free to email me
linhud...@gmail.com. This is just too much fun for one person to hog.
Come take a bit of it for yourself. Happy lacemaking.

Hugs, Lin and the Mali

Thanks for organizing this Lin.

Unfortunately, it has been several years since I was able to
participate in the Christmas exchange so I don't remember all the
rules.

Who do I send my name and other info to.

Hi Everyone.

Last year i was disappointed when no one organized this fun event. This
year i waited but am going to put my toe in the water and see if i can pull
organizing it off. I am sure Janet and Sallie will be doing the Christmas
card exchange in the fall so i won't jump in all the way just yet. i am a
bit later for the waiting and apologize to all.

The schedule will go like this:
May 4-12 Sign Ups
May 15 Exchange partners assignments made and emailed out
June 13All bookmarks should be in the mail

Same rules apply as the Christmas card exchange. Send in name, snail mail
address and how many bookmarks you want to make. After making your
bookmark(s) please take a picture and email to either me (
linhud...@gmail.com) or directly to Jenny Brandis (je...@brandis.com.au)
who once again is a dear and will be posting all on her web site. any
problems, just let me know. If you are going to be late, please let me
know. If you have to drop out for some reason, please personally contact
me as soon as possible so i can ensure everyone has a partner.

if this is your first time, you are going to have lots of fun. any type of
lace is appropriate. any skill level is welcome. don't be shy. this is
your time to shine.

thanks and enjoy as much as i plan to.
