Subject: [lace] new lace photos

I just posted two photos on the third page of my album on webshots

http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/album/149126673AmIpMo?start=24

The center back element is a class
I took with Liz Ligetti last year at convention and the other flowers and
leaves

were from Catherine Barley's book.

I love your collar Janice, it's beautiful, well done! Thank you for the
acknowledgement.

Many congratulations.

The scarf is beautiful Janice.

As to the collar - you are SO clever with design, and fantastic ideas. I
never thought my little hankie corner could look so spectacular!! Very well
done. I love the way you have used the double trail and rings in other
parts of the design, to link it all up. Fantastic.

Don't worry about the inconsistencies with the ground - it really does not
show, - and, of course, proves that it is hand made, - not churned out bay a
machine!!! :)

(You should see the inconsistent grounds that I come up with!! -- No,
perhaps you better Not see them!!! The Point de Gaze ground is hard to do,
and each day my work comes up a bit different. I try to do a whole section
before stopping, so it does not show up quite so much!!! --Grrr!!! )

Regards from Liz in Melbourne, Oz.

I finished the Christine Mirecki silk scarf about two weeks ago, just never
got round to taking a photo. The needlelace collar I finished today. I made
it in Gutterman 100/3 silk, using one whole spool. The center back element
is a class I took with Liz Ligetti last year at convention and the other
flowers and leaves were from Catherine Barley's book. I still need to work
on my netted ground. I think I must have been tired when I did some of it
because the size is not consistent. I worked on the scarf during the day
and did the needlelace watching tv at night, which also might account for
the uneven netting.

Hello Janice and everyone

Beautiful work, both - and so different!
The needlelace is lively and interesting, inconsistencies are not
noticeable! If you are too careful, it goes the other way, appearing stiff
and formal.
