I agree with the other ladies that life has got in the way recently. Loft clearance and insulation taking up valuable lace making time:-) Urgent dental help and trying to sort out long term tongue ulcers!!!! Alice I hope you pretty blue cast is keeping your arm comfortable while it heals. Christmas around the corner, daughters visit preparation (looking forward to that). But happily I am still managing to make some lace during the evenings, sometimes with way too much help from the cat. (He wants to sleep on my lap which means my table complete with pillow has to be lifted flat above him which is not the best angle for lacemaking and slows it down. Sometimes we compromise, <g>

On a side note I have recently managed to spend many hours working on ideas (some expansion of ideas given by some of you ladies) for anniversary lace and have 2/3 of the first strip made for a napkin. I did made a mistake on this first one, I have missed a link in and out of one side of a piece of triangle ground and am very cross about that. I made up the pattern I am using ideas from two different pieces of lace and using my slowly progressing design skills and program. (A cautionary note). I am now using Vista on this new computer and it wont let me change the colours on the layers of the program and one or two things I would like to do. In the last 18 months I have managed so much better thanks to Ruth, :-)

Well now I have to complete my card writing as well, I am a little behind with that tast.
Enjoy what ever lace you do manage to make all of you.

Yes, it's been quiet. Since I broke my wrist and
can't make lace, I search for Lace messages for my
lace 'fix'----but find very little. It's a bit early
for the usually holiday slowdown.
Someone start a thread that will stimulate comments.

in my wrist, and a pretty blue cast.

I have not had a digest since Saturday, lace-digest
V2007 #270 so I was wondering if lace was very quiet
with the holiday season on us. I checked the
archives and saw some messages about Buckspoint that
I have not received yet, but when I looked down the
list to find about my Beds question I saw some of
the answers I received but not my actual question.
