Re: [lace] Arachne Lunch
Hi All I colour my hair, well the hairdresser does, but I use the time that I am sitting about to read books, check the next pattern I am -panning to do. I use this time as planning/thinking time. I always take some lace oriented thing with me. I have even been known to sit and tat!!! And that doesn't happen very often. Re: [lace] Arachne Lunch
I agree! And then I have to confess... I began coloring my hair in my late 20's because I started greying prematurely!! (Honest!) So, by the time I was 50, I had no idea what color my natural hair was. Finally, my hairdresser said that I had more grey hair than auburn, so I finally let it grow out. I looked like Ronald McDonald (the McDonald's clown) for a very long time... it was awful! Turns out, I had a nice mix of dark and white, (salt and pepper) and once the dye had all grown out, I got loads of compliments about my hair. Now, the dark has mostly gone, I'm mostly white/grey, and it's not drawing the compliments any more, but at least I don't have to spend an hour a month getting it colored, and the money I save is definitely better spent on lace books!!! Yeah, Clay! Actually it also depends on what industry a person works in. Lacemakers and many others look experienced and wise with grey hair, whereas software engineers are often assumed to be out-of-date and with not long to last in the industry. Nahhh. hair dye is for people who have no self-confidence at all. Your hair looks really good! (And I've seen it "in person" recently!). So unless you're trying to fake out a 30-something stud-muffin, I suggest you accept yourself the way you are and be glad you have a beautiful healthy head full of hair! (Dye could change that 'healthy' part...).I'm guessing your DH hasn't complained... I am in both pictures. Curiously, my hair seems very dark in the 2003 picture compared to the 2011 picture. I wonder why that is :-) Devon In a message dated 8/9/2011 9:43:40 A.M.
