London Waterloo. If you go to this site http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/planmyjourney/time_table/journey_requirements.asp?T2ID=1967_2005521113547 or http://tinyurl.com/b9pvs and fill in the details, it'll tell you when the trains go. I've just had a look and it takes about 40mins with 1 or no changes. Good morning all, As I head into my last 18 days (yes, I am counting) of my teaching career (I started in 1972) I enjoyed the chuckle. The sad thing to say is that over the years I have had many notes like this one. I am currently teaching high school in a high income district of my county and believe it or not have had several notes of this nature this school year. You cannot believe how much control it takes not to burst out laughing. Christina, in Midlothian Va who is looking forward to spending more time with my bobbins! You've just demolished my last hope - Bev wrote to cheer me up, and suggested that none of the notes were for real, but made up... And high income doesn't necessarily translate into better education; it could be first generation up, where the kids write better than their parents. And even second generation *educated*... Sigh... My DH is a PhD, Phi Beta Kappa - the whole nine yards - but, of his 4 children, two (oldest and youngest) write very well, and two seem to have trouble stringing a coherent sentence together in writing sometimes, never mind a paragraph... -- Tamara P Duvallhttp://t-n-lace.net/ Lexington, Virginia, USA (Formerly of Warsaw, Poland) To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace-chat [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[lace-chat] :) Fwd: Welfare
From: S.D. A guy walks into the local welfare office for his monthly check. He marches straight up to the counter and says, Hi. You know, I just HATE coming in here drawing welfare month after month. I'd really much rather have a job. The social worker behind the counter says, Your timing is excellent. We just got a job opening from a very wealthy old man who wants a chauffeur-bodyguard for his nymphomaniac daughter. You'll have to drive around in his Mercedes, but he'll supply all of your clothes. Because of the long hours, meals will be provided. You'll be expected to escort her on her overseas holiday trips. You'll have a two-bedroom apartment above the garage. The starting salary is $200,000 a year. The guy says, You're bullshitting me! The social worker says, Yeah, well, you started it. -- Tamara P Duvallhttp://t-n-lace.net/ Lexington, Virginia, USA (Formerly of Warsaw, Poland) To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace-chat [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
