[lace-chat] Re: [lace] Schneeberg doily-solution
Just a note to the list that I sent a detailed possible solution to Jane. If anyone else wants it, please contact me. Happy lacing -- and Merry Christmas, Alice in Oregon -- cold, mostly clear, but rain coming which will freeze and make a real mess tomorrow. --- Jane Dobinson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi All > > I am working on the Schneeberg doily on page 137 in > 75 Quick & Easy by > Veronica Sorenson. Fw: [lace-chat] Lace and biker chicks
- Original Message - From: "Dorte Tennison" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Lynne Cumming" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, December 17, 2005 7:03 PM Subject: Re: [lace-chat] Lace and biker chicks Hello Lynne a lot of bikers don't use their bikes in winter, for 4 month, they only pay insurance fore 8 month then, but my insurancecompani does for the hole year, in winter we sprey a lot of salt on the roads, and that is not so god for the metal and the chromium on the bike, but I have a scooter a vespa et 2, that drives 45 km/h I will be using that in the winter time, then I have my bicycle, I live now in a town, and there ain't long for shopping, about 1½ mile to city, and 1/4 of a mile to the local shop. And the trip to my work takes 4 min. on pushbike. I have bought some wind and watherproofed trouses and jacket, with some padding for the bag, arm, shoulder, hips and knees, for protection incase I turn over with the bike, and incase the frost on the road are in patches, it is suicide to drive. The vespa dont drive so fast, so that is easyer to handle. And another thing is I still have to get my garage/workshop finised, I still have a lot to do. So that's why I first can drive in march Next winter it will come out when the wether is nice and dry, and no salt on the road, and after I have listen to the weather forcast Dorte from Denmark where we to day had our first snow <> Why wait My little scooter (it won't grow up!) takes me to work every day through the winter as well as summer (For nearly 5 years now)! It lives outside under a nice cover. I wrap up warm and thaw my fingers out at work! If it's very icy or lots of snow (v. rare) I take the train instead but that's only a couple of days a year! BTW leather trousers don't bend enough but quilted waterproof trousers over work ones keep me lovely and snug with a pair of snow boots to keep the toes cozy and dry. Enjoy!
