[lace-chat] Oya piecework magazine active brain

2006-01-27 Thread auntsis
Good morning all,
Yesterday, before I went to belly dance class (just started 3 weeks ago to
loose weight since I hate exercise) I went by Barnes Noble and picked up the
Piecework, along with Threads and Vogue patterns. What a wonderful article - I
almost thought I was back in Izmir in the souk. I am going to order that back
issue and I have gone to, but not yet printed, the link. Also in my very old.
70's, Readers Digest Guide to Needlework I found a bit under needle lace.

I think being a member of this group helps keep the brain active, especially
since I decided to get out of lurker mode. I always have either morning coffee
or afternoon tea with you ladies and look forward to our visit.

Now to address my other question - anyone know of a teacher of Reticella lace?

Have a great day my friends.

It's amusing when atheists observe secular Christmas; their gifts are
a bit... well... off the beaten path? Beside being a bit off the
routine calendar? The following came to me, from my son, *yesterday*...
:)

I wanted to get you this for Christmas, but I was unable to find the
link

to it when I was going to order it. I just found it again, though you
might want to take a look:

Needless to say, I definitely *do* want the book, after having looked
at it's first 3 pages (all that's allowed)... :)
