The Nipsco power-outage map of Northern Indiana had measles
Monday, but all we had here was flickering and nasty driving.

And just to cheer you up in the UK - the big storm that hit Texas with rain,
snow and tornadoes, just sailed through Canada dumping about 25-30 cm of
snow with strong winds on Ottawa and then on to through the eastern part of
Canada is on its way to you. We'd had no snow for Christmas and had just a
little scattering of snow late on Boxing Day, but we surely made up for it
yesterday.

freezing drizzle, and I'm waiting for the snow-clearing chappie to come and
shovel out the end of the drive from where the plough has gone by and dumped
a 2 ft high snowbank.

[lace-chat] Lacemakers and Tatters in Severe Weather Areas

2015-12-30 Thread Sue Duckles
Hello All

I hope that all our lacy friends in the severe weather areas both in the UK
and worldwide are not badly affected by the floods, tornadoes, winds etc.
Here's thinking of you all!!! Please write in and let us know that you are
safe!!

Here in our area of the UK we are getting the wind and the rain, but it's not
as severe as in the west side of the UK in Cumbria, Lancashire, West & North
Yorkshire... at the moment!! I hope that others can barricade themselves
indoors and make lace in the dry!!

All the best to all of you for 2016!!

Sue in East Yorkshire, watching the tide levels and the nearby flooding!
