Dear friends, I got this tonight from a concerned friend and thought I'd better pass it on. David in Ballarat I contacted the company ( S C Johnson, parent company of ZipLoc) and they DO NOT recommend boiling or microwaving ZipLoc bags for food preparation. The bags are not meant to used over 110 degrees. They are made with ( hope I get the spelling right...) polyethalene. ZipLoc does not make a bag for boiling food in.
