I was amused to see in yesterday's paper here in Sydney, a picture of Prince
Charles, in his kilt, sitting with his knees very *tightly* together!!
Maybe
he's been caught unawares by a photographer before??


I believe if a sporran is worn properly it hangs down and weights the kilt
between the knees so preserving the wearers modesty. (a sporran is an animal
skin pouch on a chain which is worn around the waist)

Hallo Jean and All,
Your remarks about Kilts reminded me when my mother and I saw just after the
war a soldier in a skirt, as mother pointed out.
She couldn't take her eyes of him and laughed and made a remark which I do
not want to repeat. Sorry to all Scots.
