Re: [lace-chat] Scotsmen wearing kilts
I was amused to see in yesterday's paper here in Sydney, a picture of Prince Charles, in his kilt, sitting with his knees very *tightly* together!! Maybe he's been caught unawares by a photographer before?? I believe if a sporran is worn properly it hangs down and weights the kilt between the knees so preserving the wearers modesty. (a sporran is an animal skin pouch on a chain which is worn around the waist) jenny barron Scotland To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace-chat [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

It wasn't until the film was developed that she discovered that the one of the best man and groom sitting, relaxing on some steps before the ceremony definitely proved that they were wearing nothing under their kilts! Hallo Jean and All, Your remarks about Kilts reminded me when my mother and I saw just after the war a soldier in a skirt, as mother pointed out. She couldn't take her eyes of him and laughed and made a remark which I do not want to repeat. Sorry to all Scots. Greeting from a humid, tiring and making me lazy Melton air.
