Re: [lace-chat] Hot weather and the British railway system and fires
Dear Pat, (snip) I understood from weather forecasts and media reports that the rain was UK wide. Was I wrong? Did it only dump on south Wales? No, you're not wrong! Last week here we had rain for several days. All of Friday morning the cold rain really poured down; then it eased up and we had a penetrating drizzle for the rest of the day. It seems hard to believe that to go shopping then I wore jeans with a jumper and a mac. Now, as I'm at home, (hiding from the Sun), I'm wearing my most comfortable Summer outfit - just an Ancient Greek chiton. Linda Walton, (in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, U.K.). Re: [lace-chat] Hot weather and the British railway system and fires
Thank you, linda, for confirmation that I am not going mad, I'll assume the questioner was out of the country or not quite with us during the rain (VBG), We weren't cold - quite the contrary so that having to wear a rain jacket and shoes and socks made me uncomfortably warm and I limited tha amount of time I spent out. Now, of course, I am lurking indoors or am sitting in the shade of the north facing back of the house because of the heat. (snip) As for global warming, Patricia in Wales My own outlook on 'global warming' is that the Earth has been made sick by humanity's stupidity, and 'she' is getting feverish . . .
