MS Word add-in translations

2016-02-07 Thread Jaume Ortolà i Font
Hi,

If you want to translate the LanguageTool MS Word add-in into your
language, you can do it now at transifex.com. See the
file WinFormStrings.resx. Most of the strings are already translated using
existing translations.

Translations

2014-05-14 Thread Jan Schreiber
Here is a question (or several questions) from our Facebook page that I
cannot answer:

Sébastien Kerguen: I recently finished the French translation of
 LanguageTool (link:
 https://www.transifex.com/pro.../p/languagetool/language/fr/).

When will it be integrated to LanguageTool (talking about the Firefox
addons page, the UI, community website..)?

And who is in charge of merging translations? Thanks.

For software that has a release, it will be in the next release
automatically. For the website, it will be online with the next
deployment (which happens irregularly).

Source for LanguageTool check form translations?

2014-01-06 Thread Marcin Miłkowski
Hi,

where should I put Polish translations for the check form on the main
page? It has just a partial translation right now but I cannot find the
strings on transifex. Should I add translated strings to
include/header.php directly? Do we have this documented anywhere?

Best,
Marcin

 It's in languagetool-website/include/default_texts.php.

No, it's not. I mean the context menu; there Ignore this error while
the rest is in Polish for me right now.

scaping translations

2013-12-21 Thread Jaume Ortolà i Font
Hi,

There are some characters in translations that need scaping. I have seen,
for example, missing apostrophes in http://community.languagetool.org. So
where is the proper place to do the scaping? Is it the responsibility of
the translators in Transifex?

An example. In Transifex:

English: More than {0} possible errors found - the remaining errors will
not be shown
Catalan: S'han trobat més de {0} possibles errors. La resta no es mostraran.

The apostrophe doesn't show up on line:

So should I write apos; or quot;?

It's strange indeed, but in cases where there's a variable like {0} in
the string, you need to escape ' by using '' (two apostrophes) instead.

Yes, but not by LT, but the Java platform provides them. If they don't
get translated, Java isn't completely (or not at all)? translated to

What is this good for, Ruud?

In LT another form of language names in Slovenian is used, so I hope you
are not suggesting to replace the existing Slovenian name for Dutch with
the one on your list?

Re: Translations of Dutch

2013-02-16 Thread Martin Srebotnjak
It is wrong, if it says it is the only correct one.

Dutch can be nizozemščina or nizozemski jezik; the first is a shortened
version of the second; and in most UI where languages are selected,
translators use Jezik: (language:) + nizozemski (and the same form also
for other language names).

Just so that you know.

missing translations for LT 2.0

2012-12-29 Thread Daniel Naber
Hi,

the following languages don't have 100% translation coverage yet:

Romanian, French, Greek, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Khmer, Slovak

Today and tomorrow is the last change to fix it. If you can do so, please
go to
https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/languagetool/resource/messagesbundleproperties/

and add some translations (usually only very few translations are missing).

Languages that didn't have updates for quite some time are Czech, Swedish,
Icelandic, and Lithuanian. Updates for those are also welcome.

Regards
 Daniel

I registered with Transifex as mc5686 and joined the Italian team.
Before I can help translating someone needs to enable me.

Thanks.
I added the missing translations to *LanguageTool Core and User
Interface*.
I did not tackle the firefox extension translations because IMHO
LT-italian is not ready for prime time.

I am working to improve disambiguation.
I fear it will have to wait for next release.
Current status of java code is ok, disambiguation.xml rules are far from
being complete.
