Found the answer - create a normal property node and that has the
normal control visible option (was only looking at the automation
properties).

I am using a 3d Surface graph and want to hide the control at certain
times and display another control in the same screen location.  I
can't seem to find a property that will do this.  Can someone please
point me in the right direction?
