As I understand it, the investigation by Santa Barbara (which has

Santa Barbara and they had not received any death certificate on her,

 Barbara they ended the investigation.

Too bad they didn't investigate first and call the media later,

other way around.

Hi Doc,

More likely it was the media contacting them to check on cause of death,
time..etc. Of course they could have answered "no comment" until they get
further information.

I don't know about the rest of the public, but I never felt a "need to

HI Ron,

Actually it appears to be a shameless invasion of the McCartney family's
privacy by a snooping media. Add to that the knee jerk suspicion of
conspiracy and the readily available Internet to spread rumors and you
have a typical pile of hogwash.

It's been revealed that she did not die in Santa Barbara, but died at a
family ranch in Tucson. The family wanted to be left alone to grieve and
didn't want a swarm of media people descending on them. Now a rumor is
being spread that her death was really an assisted suicide. The family
strongly denies it.

Whether it was assisted or not really isn't anyones business, IMO. But
it is curious.

As for where she died, that really isn't anyones business either, and I
hope that the law figures this thing out and leaves these people alone.
The media certainly isn't. Even though it looks like they have the
truth now. I can only imagine that the ranch where she died is
surrounded now with media trucks, fans, etc. And that is exactly what
the family was trying to avoid in the first place.

That's been suggested, at least by innuendo. But so much is suggested that
way -- who can tell? A reputable funeral parlor has rules about death
certificates before cremation. Sounds like a case of one county not realizing
what was done in another county. (And when you come right down to it, why
would anyone really care?)
