In either case you should make backups. (including your primary config)

Open your project in the current Lazarus (3.0), and use "Publish

Is 3.0 meant here as current version to publish your project, or should 
this be done in the current 2.x version ?

Cocoa (64bit) 10.12, Carbon (32bit) 10.5 to 10.14, qt and
qt5 (32 or 64bit).

FreeBSD/Linux: Add Qt6.2 for qt6
MacOS: Add Qt6 (64bit only).
