To all Windows users!

The attachment [Information.zip] from the original email contains a
[EMAIL PROTECTED] virus. Don't you just love those virus names! :)

Anyway, please take care, and Michael Van Canney, please scan your computer.

Well, viruses usually don't use the sender address from their source, so
I don't think that Michael's PC is virulent.

This was just a joke, don't need to be so anal retentive. I do know
unixes can be vulnerable as well, I was a virus/worm reseacher myself
several years ago and will not start a flame-war because of you.
To the ML owners/moderators, my excuses. I was trying to make a joke and
didn't meant to start a flame war as I tought people here could
understand my intention.
I won't do it again.

Gee, even I knew your original post was a joke... but smiles don't
translate well in text.

Also, nobody should assume Michael is at fault - most virus will grab a
different sender's address and use it - so it's more likely to be
someone else on the list than it is Michael.

This is why I guess I've reduced my joking in the past years and have tried to
be
more serious in life. The problem is all jokes do have some seriousness to them

Who's to say my post was not a joke too? (it was a joke, actually, I wasn't
starting
a flame war but rather cracking a joke about a unix freak being on a horse). If
everyone jokes no one will hear the wolf cry when there is something serious
being
said. Reduce jokes to a minimum - don't watch comedy shows. Do programming
instead. I
have a tendency to joke, but I've been reducing and reducing over the past few
years
because I've learned that jokes are usually always negative rather than
positive.
