Our Ward has a Borther serving in the sandbox (iraq).
He is desirous of getting CDs of Church Music as he
is having an awful bad time with the language and
"pin-ups" of his comrades. Would there be any
  copyright/intellectual property issue with downloading

2006-11-13 Thread Timothy-Allen Albertson
tnxSteve the EQ President who is putting together
the care package for this Brother in iraq was
concerned about Copyright problems my gut
reaction, even before reading the License and
Restrictions, was that the Church would not have
a problem with doing this for our Brother especially
since it would be faith-promoting tnx again, Steve
best, etc., Tim

Re: [Ldsoss] Copyright Query

2006-11-13 Thread Timothy-Allen Albertson
that is a good idea---however, EQ President
asked me to find out about the copyright/IP
issues of what I described i got a number
for Church IP Office and have a call into them

the only thing i can think of why we wouldnt want
to do as suggested, direct order to his APO,is
that this is to be part of a care package from the
ward im a new member but the Sunday I first
exercised my new Priesthood this Brother was home
on RnR and I had the honor of passing him the
Sacrament
