I had the same problem to build mysql with 0.9.20.
Have a look at 
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/leaf/src/bering-uclibc/apps/mysql/mysql-4.0.21.diff.gz?rev=1.1view=log
Maybe this trick works for Yate as well
