Perhaps we could make use of a change of the suffix in the package names to make a distinction between the older lrp packages and a new new more featurefull leaf format :-) (OMG what topic did I bring up) What about .tgz ? It corresponds exactly to what .lrp packages are: tar xzvf package.lrp unpack any .lrp package tar czvf package.lrp . creates any .lrp package The only specificity of an .lrp package are the files in /var/lib/lrpkg. It does not correspond to a specific storage format. Jacques Not to mention it messes up Charle's web server which thought .lrp file was a text file :-) I don't think I've ever seen him go rg before :-) Kinda like Charlie Brown, heh. I can support that! In fact I was rather surprised that this question took all this time to come up. If we did branch away from LRP, we definitely should be named differently. In every possible way. But that is just my humble opinion. grin -Original Message- From: Matt Schalit [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, January 15, 2002 7:12 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [Leaf-devel] [dachstein] feature add [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Charles, For Dachenstein, not having set it up yet myself.
