Hi, pppoe *client* support is there. I'll try to give it a shot today for pppoe and see where I'm doing wrong. I wanted to put some other extra packages in the distribution such as BASH, FTP. So, what was your problem? I installed proftpd sucessfully but BASH didnt go through may i did not have the right .lrp package. Also one more thing it says it supports the Cisco Aironet but it does recognize it. Still havent tried the Prism Cards. Again, what is exactly the problem? E.g., what kind of card you use, what kind of PCMCIA bridge etc etc. I personally run it with a lot of Cisco Aironet LMC352. I am using PCI Cisco Aironet 342 and 350 cards. maybe in some old router i will use ISA Aironet 4800 cards or whatsoever. Hi Vladimir, Uncomment necessary ppp related lines in /etc/modules. I have done it something is working but im not getting connected. I would really appreciate it if u could tell me the procedure to use the PPPoE connection. It is for sure im doing something wrong, i have sniffed the network and it seems that while the PPPoE starts it does not send any packet on the net. I gues im not following the procedure right. Still, you didn't answer the question, is it a PCI/ISA or a PCMCIA card? I am using PCI and ISA cards. Insert airo into /etc/modules (the cards should show up as ethX). However I never tested Cisco cards in their own PCI or ISA adapters. I have done it it should be working now, it seems i have a brkone card here, i will check it later. [leaf-user] PPPoE in WISP
Hi, Has anyone configured PPPoE in WISP the Server and the Client, i have found that the WISP distribution does not include PPPoE although it says so, maybe I am wrong. I have been trying to put packages on it but it seems i did not find appropriate ones. Most anyoing thing is that you have info on all other LEAF distributions only WISP is somwhat set aside as appears like GHOST package in LEAF family, since it has joined the family.
