Hello Hein,
The solution I use is that the laptop allways get the same IP Adress from
the dhcpd server
As an example my dhcpd conf.
-
dynamic-bootp-lease-length 604800;
max-lease-time 1209600;
subnet 192.168.1.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
option routers 192.168.1.254;
option domain-name "my.net";
option domain-name-servers 192.168.1.254;
range 192.168.1.110 192.168.1.199;
host roadwarrior { hardware ethernet 00:00:33:11:22:44; fixed-address
192.168.1.100; }
replace your hostname and mac address.
Now you can use your name "roadwarrior.my.net" in tinydns
