If you just need a little room why not a second floppy? I think the user
or installation guide tells howm it should also be in the mail list
archive (I did not search, but remember reading it multipke times).

You can put programs on a cdrom even if you can not boot from the cdrom.
 Again check the guides.

RE: [leaf-user] expanding /dev/root on diskless LEAF boxen

2002-07-14 Thread Franois BERGERET

Hi Christopher,

I am looking for this too : I want to add some packages to my
Bering distro who seems - to my eyes - to be the best for now,
because the kernel level and the famous Shorewall...

The good way is to burn a bootable CD.

I have one who runs correctly, and I am not able to add anything
more than my floppy already has :-(

This is only due to my misunderstand of the problem who occurs.
It seems that my process creates only floppy emulation instead of
hard disk.

I you are able to do one image with hard disk emulation, please,
lets me know how you do that !

Thanks in advance and good luck !

Best Regards,
François BERGERET
Chartrette, France.
