I do not think you are using wrong file. I also notice that some packages do
not have .local file. But if needed, you can create the .local file yourself
and the partial packup should be fine.

If update some of the Bering packages with the .local files (mostly
stealing from Dachstein) is there a home for them on
leaf.sourceforge.net?  I'd hate to go through the hassle and no one else
benefits.
