[LU] Snoddy

2012-04-17 Thread Jeremy Adams

This on the ever so unreliable rumour room on teamtalk.

Robert Snodgrass expected to sign new contract with Leeds United to become
their highest earner in a long while. The Scotland star wants to lead Leeds
back to the promised land. Warnocks promising big changes! MOT soon to be a
force on the pitch as well as in voice!

Re: [LU] BPool

2012-04-17 Thread Jeremy Adams

When I tuned in with 20 minutes to go it sounded like we were well on top with
Snodgrass, McCormack and Clayton linking up well. Then another massive
defensive blunder gifted them a goal and we fell apart. Warnock subbed Clayton
after he got a yellow which should have been a red. Webber missed a golden
header that even Eddie thought Becchio would have buried and then O'Dea lost
the plot and got a blatant second yellow.
I'm still not down about it, I will be if Warnock doesn't get the backing he's
clearly asked for.

Do you think you should be the linchpin of the midfield next year or are you
moving on to pastures new?

[LU] Simon Says

2012-04-17 Thread N If
echoing my sentiments really:

"You have to improve every year and we didn't spend any money in the summer
to strengthen the side," he said.

"If you look at the teams who are doing well in that league they're the
ones who've spent a bit of money."

He told BBC Late Kick Off Yorkshire and Lincolnshire: "I think the
supporters wanted some money to be spent because they had the foundations
of a very good side."

Grayson continued: "I was disappointed with how it ended because we were in
a good place, three points off the play-offs.

"I'm frustrated with one or two things that were said in the papers
afterwards that are completely off the mark.

"I suppose when you leave a football club someone has to be blamed and some
people shift that away from the people responsible."

ok, so it appears he had lost the dressing room, and hadn't managed to
shore up the defence (tho he had done that in the past with Naylor and
Knisnorbo), but if he'd been able to get the real deal, maybe he would have
been able to sort the defence out and not rely on such a demoralising
quantity of cheap 'dross'. Will Neil manage to bully Ken into paying over
his odds - either transfers or salaries - to secure the players we need?
Is Billy better than Leeds' managers' favourite Luciano? I was more
disappointed losing Varynan who if he'd been fit as the Bremner type he
might have been would've made such a difference. Never rated Parker.

My team for next season

Lonergn

New Lees New New

Snods Clayton New (White?)

 New (Ross/Billy/Davide)

Bench: Bruce White Luciano (if no worthwhile offers come in)

Expensive for that to be an improvement on what we have.

Don't forget 1930's central defender Bertram Bodyform, he periodically soaked
up everything and distributed it out to the safety of the wings.
