Re: [LU] Ipswich last 30.

2013-08-26 Thread Guy Thornton
Can't speak for the Germans but most dutch (based) persons don't have their own
satellite - with
virtually all the country being on cable a lot of places, including Amsterdam,
get iffy on folk putting up
their own satellites. Some areas, where a number of ethinic turks, etc live you
do see satellites on
balconys but it's frowned on and there are purges to remove them. The Amsterdam
skyline does look
a lot cleaner since the removal of ariels, satellites, etc.

That said we do have access as there's enough cafes and pubs showing games who
have the
necessary for it which is how I got watch Saturday. And as said they also had
all the premier league
games on other screen plus footie from other countries and various other sports.

Incidentally it's not just Al Jazerra for Championship footbball now. Fox has
just started here in the
Netherlands and they have got the rights for showing live Championship games
here.

[LU] QPR

2013-08-26 Thread Robert Heath
I must admit it was a bit frightening watching QPR on TV at the w/e. Let's
face it, on paper their squad was way too strong to go down last year, and
they seem to still have a lot of quality players on their books.

Hopefully, they will offload a few of them (which they are reported to be
desperate to do) before the game on satdyalthough I hope
they keep that twozzock Barton b/c he was useless against Bolton.

P.S. Did anybody else watching the 5th Test yesterday notice as I did that
useless Lanky twat Kerrigan looking sheepish and embarrassed while the rest
of the squad were giving each other backslaps after the game?

P.P.S. If you want a laff, type "Worlds Worst Biker" into you tube, and
watch the guy in the white shirt at the top right of the screen.

Agree 100%. I've been saying this too re Europa league. Could they hit a bit of
a spiral if they don't make Champions League?

It would be interesting - they are certainly carrying a lot of debt atm.
Clearly not like us but would be fun to watch if they did drop off. All good
things must come to an end!

Re: [LU] Ipswich last 30.

2013-08-26 Thread Matt Anderson
If you have access to the hotbird satellite (as I'm sure most Dutch/german
based people do!?!?!) they show championship games and other things like French
league on Al Jazeera +3 channel.

You need a viaaccess cam (card holder) for your receiver then an Al Jazeera
card which costs about £100 from eBay.

They have just removed the premier league from hotbird at the premier leagues
request so that's only receivable if you have a 2.5m or larger and nilesat.
(They show every single premier league game)

2013-08-26 Thread Brendan McWilliams
Mourinho is hugely entertaining at the beginning of his 3 year max stay at Club
X, then around the mid way point of the 2nd season he becomes a bit of a pain
with the whole paranoia and victimisation tactics he employs to motivate the
players.

This accelerates into the 3rd season at which point he will have then lost the
players, the press genuinely get fed up with him, he then invents the lack of
backing from the club and/or not selecting a high profile club player - then
he moves on.

As to Chelsea itself, they have long replaced Man U at the top of my least
liked clubs.
