Re: [LU] Phillips
Like Rich, I thought Phillips and Vieira looked a bit lost. In Hernandez's absence I'd like to have seen Roofe tried in his favourite position to see if he's likely to be able to make the grade. Age will take its toll on Hernandez in the next couple of year. Roofe might just be able to take over. I guess Monk's idea was to put somebody with a bit of aggression right up against Shelvey. It didn't work for the first 30 mins as Shelvey ran the game, but I was impressed with the way Leeds stuck at it, and with a bit of luck could have taken it to the wire. Lascelles, Gouffrain, Shelvey, Gayle, Mitrovic and Perez are a class above anyone else in this league though. KOT. I was disappointed in the result but not so much with the performance, we didn't get battered, and if we had a little luck at the end of the first half (or the ref's being a little harsher to them) we could have taken it to the wire. ttfn Richard > -Original Message- > From: Leedslist [mailto:leedslist-boun...@gn.apc.org] On Behalf Of Nick > Allen > Sent: 21 November 2016 10:59 > To: John Lee > Cc: leedslist@gn.apc.org; {broken-address} Richard Walker; {broken-address} > Nicholas Armit; {broken-address} > Subject: Re: [LU] Leeds 0 Newcastle 2 > > We came damn close 3 times... > > Sent from my iPad > > > On 21 Nov 2016, at 10:44, {broken-address} John Lee >wrote: > > > > I don't know what I was thinking, dreaming that we might actually score!!! > > > > From: Peter Castlehouse > > To: '{broken-address} Richard Walker' > > ; '{broken-address} > > Nicholas Armit' > > Cc: leedslist@gn.apc.org; '{broken-address}' > > > > Sent: Monday, 21 November 2016, 5:10 > > Subject: Re: [LU] Leeds 0 Newcastle 2 > > > > Nope, nobody predicted 0-2, but Richo and BruvvaLee both said by two > > goals, aka 1-3 and 2-4 respectively. > > The average score of the meagre 13 entries worked out to 1-1 (1.84 to > > 1.54 actually), so we all blew it really :) Better luck next time > > folks, might do it for the Aston Villa game, just for more fun, but > > next time it will be best ale/beer choice > > > > cheers > > Pete > > > > -Original Message- > > From: Leedslist [mailto:leedslist-boun...@gn.apc.org] On Behalf Of > > {broken-address} Richard Walker > > Sent: Monday, 21 November 2016 6:20 AM > > To: {broken-address} Nicholas Armit > > > > Cc: leedslist@gn.apc.org; {broken-address} > > > > Subject: Re: [LU] Leeds 0 Newcastle 2 > > > > Did anyone get the score right ?
