Re: [LU] Wednesday

Agree re the analysis of our players. For what it's worth, I though Bridcutt
had a great game versus SheffieldWed - it's a rare knack to find the space to
be always available, and he was always available for easy balls. If he could
avoid the bookings for daft things, and the occasional frustrated kick out
that'd be good though.
I hadn't realised Hernandez was actually on the pitch for about 25 minutes, and
his contributions were patchy, although he was frozen out for long periods.
Mind you, occasionally he does something very special.
IF we get into the playoffs, then from a footballing viewpoint Newcastle,
Brighton and Huddersfield are all better than us, but we're going to have to
beat at least one of them to progress. That said, there's a steeliness about us
which makes us hard to beat, we do have a knack of sneaking goals and being
able to defend them, and we've got a bit of a roll on and the crowd believing.
My main concern is around luck. We've had games where we've been so spawny, and
logic says that at some point our luck will change. Yep, I'm back with the
gypsy's curse :-(

Spot on. I said the same if sacko did what we wanted him to he would be at
arsenal or something

Worth reminding people that however good derby was it will go down in he record
books the same as yesterday a 1-0 win with Wood scoring.

Championship is about grinding out wins anyway possible.

Also had to disagree with those wanting Newcastle to lose so we could catch
them. If they ended up in the playoffs with £60-£70m of players on £30-£50k a
week and we got them at Wembley it could be carnage. Bentitez has won
European/domestic cups regularly and knows how to win. Would much prefer the 3
we would currently face or Fulham maybe.

Going to the Fulham game so may regret that statement after that

[LU] Monk and Wagner get fine and ban

Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner has been given a two-match touchline
ban and a £6,000 fine after his altercation with Leeds counterpart Garry
Monk.

Wagner sprinted down the touchline to join his players in celebrating
their late winner before clashing with Monk.

Monk has been given a one-match touchline ban and fined £3,000.

In addition, both clubs have been fined £10,000 for failing to ensure
their players "conducted themselves in an orderly fashion".

The FA said in a statement: "Mr Wagner admitted entering the field of
play in or around the 89th minute, in contravention of FA Rule E3, but
denied a further breach that his behaviour upon his return to the
vicinity of the technical area amounted to improper conduct.

"However, this breach was found proven following an independent
regulatory commission hearing."

Both managers will serve their bans with immediate effect meaning Town
boss Wagner will be in the stands for his side's FA Cup replay at
Manchester City on Wednesday and their league game against Newcastle on
Saturday.

Monk will watch serve his ban in his side's match at Birmingham City on
Saturday.

It has a few Leeds United bits in it, but I'm sure you'll all want to buy
it anyway!

It has been described by one critic (OK, my wife) as "a rattling good read!"
