Re: [LU] Tonight's wine
I agree with regard to Ayling. But without Roofe's footwork we would never have scored the second. I'm tempted to say that was his best moment in a Leeds shirt thus far. Cheers! Re: [LU] LU Penalty incident
I’m in the family stand so only saw it on Twitter after the game. I held my card up although I wasn’t keen - too much of the tin pot about it for me. It did provide a lot of entertainment for the rest of the game as people made aeroplanes out of them! Liked the south stand throwing their flag poles like javelins at the assistant ref! On Roofe , i think he’s limited as a footballer but he worked hard and put their back four under pressure. He’s not the answer but showed more effort than Lasogga. Think Lasogga needs to play with a partner or needs a kick up the arse! Re: [LU] Tonight's wine
Roofe was like that annoying bluebottle in the room - buzzes around a lot, but you know you won't get stung and eventually it'll disappear! He provided a decent nuisance value, and certainly more so than Lasogga, but we need more than that. I'm surprised we haven't given the Swedish lad a run out - he must be really crap in training? Ekuban looked a bit of a handful when he came on so he might be first choice once he's fitter? I hope the linesman who 'gave' the penalty has been demoted from the Football League? It's one thing missing a sly foul, but a defender has you in a hold around the neck and you end up on the floor, at which point he starts watching!! Really poor, and spoilt the last few minutes, despite deservedly hanging on!
