WTF , I mean WTF , I have watched Leeds in over 1000 games in over 40 years but this had got to be one of the hardest to explain We were on the front foot from the off but very early on they got a corner , in the past we were scared by this but recently as my lad pointed out " we are more likely to score from this than you " 30 seconds later his half joke came true as we turned defence into attack. The ball came to Panlo and he put a lovely ball through to Costa and, bang 1-0 Minutes later a cross into the box came to Bamford who took his time, took it on his chest and fired home. 2 up and less than 10 minutes gone We all felt that was game over but agreed we needed another before we could start to really enjoy it. We continued to play great stuff in an effort to get that 3rd but they did miss a chance just before half time I went to Fanzone for a half time pint and we all agreed we were hammering an awful team, a slight bit of concern over how it would go if they pulled one back but basically 100% confidence Things got even better when the ref seemed to favour us with a decision when a great ball by klich found Bamford who was fouled and ref gave a penalty - Bamford duly obliged and so 3 up and game over Then from nowhere Cardiif got a goal , not too sure how but ball came to one of theirs who lobbed it in. Seemed both a fluke and inconsequential. We continued to rip them apart and create chances, surely only a matter of time before we got a 4th. Then a cross from nowhere was headed in 3 2 but jo need to worry. A diving tackle on the recently introduced Eddie got a red and extinguished all nerves 3 2 up, in total control and thrm down to ten.What could go wrong ? Fuck,this is Leeds United, if it can ho wrong it will - was down the other end so not sure who, how or why but suddenly again against the run of play the ball was in our net We still had a chance to win it as eddies shot fell to white and he contrived to miss from a yard out Amazing - they had 3 shots and scored 3goals. That was absolutely mad, no idea where their goals came from. But don’t panic... And some dreadful refereeing...we lost out on lots of small stuff but gained a penalty and sending off. Go figure. One of those weekends.
